The day of your delivery, you’ll get a text letting you know your agent is preparing your vehicle for delivery or pick up. Please note, if we are delivering your Pico, we do our best to arrive on time, but sometimes we can be delayed by traffic (it is LA traffic, not us!). You will get a text as confirming arrival. We recommend planning for about 1 hour for the delivery, but it usually takes less time.

Once our agent arrives, he or she will confirm your identity by checking your ID. Together, you will inspect the vehicle and verify the number of keys. If you have any questions about the vehicle, feel free to ask the agent.

Please keep in mind, the best places to schedule your vehicle’s delivery are those with plenty of room for you and the agent to circle around the vehicle and check it thoroughly together before you accept your vehicle. Be as specific as you can when providing delivery instructions so we can make the delivery process as seamless as possible. You must be present for the vehicle delivery. A relative, spouse or another person cannot accept delivery.

During the appointment, please have your driver’s license ready for verification. In some cases, we may need to verify a second form of ID, so we ask that you also be prepared to present the credit card you used for payment if it has your name on it or another form of ID such as a passport, student ID, credit card, or insurance card, just in case. If you currently hold a temporary paper license, please bring a photo ID to the appointment.

Please reach out to the Pico support number at (866) 720-6030 when you’re ready to return your vehicle and we will make arrangements to do so within 7 days. With the information you’ve provided regarding your availability and the vehicle’s location and preferred return window, we will work with our transport team to schedule your vehicle's return. You can expect a call from the transport company picking up your vehicle 24 hours before your appointment. You can also return your vehicle to one of our return centers.

At the time of the return, you must be present to meet our agent(s). It's important to return the vehicle in a similar condition as you found it when it was delivered to avoid additional charges.

You have the freedom to return your Pico whenever you need to do so after the first month of your subscription (minimum 4 weeks of subscription is required for us to be able to keep our subscription costs low). We ask that you inform us at least 7 days prior to the scheduled return of your Pico. Unfortunately we are not able to provide any prorated refunds if there are any unused days left in the subscription cycle.

The taxes on your bill will vary depending on your location. If you need to see what taxes you'll be charged before you decide to commit, you’ll have an opportunity to view your price quote - including taxes - after the qualification information step in our checkout flow.

There is a $100 (plus tax) activation fee and an ongoing weekly or monthly subscription fee charged at the end of every  billing cycle. No hidden fees, no additional costs. It is that simple.

We accept all major credit cards in your name as forms of payment.

Your subscription term and billing period start the day you receive your Pico. When you make your reservation, you pay for the activation for your subscription. At the end of each weekly or monthly billing cycle, you will get the next invoice, which covers the previous subscription period as well as any credits or debits that have been added to your account. Payment for that invoice is processed the same day. Subsequently, your subscription fee will be charged to your credit card. When you return your vehicle, we issue a closeout invoice within 10 days based on your final balance, after we've applied any applicable transportation, mileage, excess wear and tear, late payment and other costs.

Riding a Pico isn’t difficult but buzzing easily round the streets of a crowded city certainly doesn’t come naturally to everyone, especially on their first ride. If you’re a beginner and would like to improve your confidence in an urban environment and move round without a hitch, then merely reading this document will sadly not be enough to ensure your absolute security and safety.

We highly recommend that you participate in one of the free riding lessons we offer if you have never ridden a motorised two-wheeler. Our delivery team is also experienced to assist you with any of your riding and SEV related questions. We want every Pico ride to be fun. But first and foremost we want you to be safe.

It goes without saying that you should always follow traffic laws and road signs. 

Helmet required
We require all riders to wear a DOT approved helmet. 

Before getting on a Pico
Check your tires, brakes, and lights. Report any damages immediately. 

Speed limit of 30mph
Our SEV can accelerate up to 30mph. Even if the electric motors can handle much higher speeds, they are electronically limited for safety reasons. So riding on highways or major bridges is strictly forbidden.

No highways or major bridges
We encourage you to enable "avoid h" on your preffered navigation app before using it when riding your Pico.

Overtaking

Overtake on the left without weaving in between cars.

It is essential to respect and comply with the rules of the road. Never overtake on the right, do not move forward in between vehicles when traffic lights are red, and always respect rights of way.

Make yourself visible

Avoid blind spots and make other road users aware of your presence.
 

Be careful when riding in close proximity to heavy vehicles. Keep a safe distance from these vehicles and be particularly vigilant when overtaking them.

To make yourself more easily identifiable:

Opt for equipment with reflective tape and bright colors.

When riding on the road, it is advisable to place yourself two-thirds to the left in the lane of traffic in order to keep your view clear and remain away from potential hazards on the pavement.

It is safer not to remain directly behind another vehicle; if it were to brake suddenly, you would almost certainly run into it from the back.

Lane Changing

Use your mirrors and indicators.

Always indicate any changes in direction in advance, regardless of the circumstances.

Use your mirrors as much as possible; before every maneuver, take a look in the mirror. They are helpful in every situation and will provide you with very useful information.

If in doubt, quickly turn your head to make sure that you can overtake or make a movement.

Traffic

Try to predict other drivers' movements and keep your distance.

Stay at least 85 feet behind vehicles in front of you and pass parked vehicles with a gap of at least 5 feet to avoid any surprises.

Learning to brake is essential. Braking is effective when both brakes are applied at once, adjusting the pressure exerted on the controls.

In an emergency situation which means you need to make a quick movement, look at where you want to go, not at the obstacle. The human brain is built in such a way that where you are looking is where you are naturally directed.

Weather

In bad weather, slow down and maintain a greater distance between yourself and other vehicles.

When the weather is bad, it is essential to slow down and pay extra attention to all of your maneuvers. Widen the distance between yourself and other vehicles, reduce your speed, and consider overtaking with a wider berth.

Braking must be measured. Sudden braking will make you skid and maybe fall off. If the road is wet, never brake with only the front wheel, especially if your handlebars are not straight.

Avoid any slippery obstacles in your path, particularly white lines on the road, dead leaves and metal sheeting.

Legal parking
You are responsible for making sure your Pico is parked legally. Otherwise, you will be responsible for related tickets and fees. 

Parking method
Park perpendicular to the street with your back tire closest to the curb. In most places, you are allowed to park between cars but please make sure to leave enough space for the cars to maneuver in and out of spots. 

Sidewalks
Sidewalks are for pedestrians. Please don't park on the sidewalk or within 15 feet of a fire hydrant.

Street Signs
Please double check all street signs—watch out for street cleaning times.

Proper equipment is essential when riding a motorised two-wheeler in addition to your helmet. It provides necessary protection.

Gloves
Gloves should be properly fitted, watertight, and cover your hands and wrists. Thanks to the CE label certified gloves you will be able to recognise gloves which are suitable for riding a motorised two-wheeler.

Shoes
For your feet, choose high-topped shoes which cover your ankles and reduce the exposure of your body as much as possible. Make sure you tie the laces tightly!

Coat
With regards to your coat, choose one that can be zipped or buttoned up so you don’t lose your balance if your coat flaps in the wind
